Privacy Policy

Udyog ("we", "us", "our") operates the Udyog MW Alerts mobile app and the website at https://myudyog.co.in (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

1. Information we collect

a. Information you provide

• Account details — your Indian mobile phone number (used both as your unique identifier and for one-time password (OTP) verification during login). We do not require or collect your email address, name, photograph, or any social-media profile.
• Notification preferences — the task types, filters, and ringtone you choose inside the app.
• Payment metadata — subscription plan, transaction reference ID, and status. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or bank credentials — these are handled directly by our payment providers.
• Support messages — content of any messages you send to us at info@myudyog.co.in.

b. Information collected automatically

• Device information — device model, operating system version, and push-notification token (used only to deliver alerts to your device). To enforce our single-device login policy, we also keep a lightweight identifier of the last device that logged in with your phone number so that older sessions can be revoked when you sign in on a new device.
• Usage information — when the app last synced, which alerts were delivered, and basic diagnostic logs used to fix faults.
• We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, call logs, or the contents of your SMS inbox.

2. About SMS and the OTP

The app never requests the Android READ_SMS or RECEIVE_SMS permission and cannot read your messages. To fill the OTP automatically we use Google's SMS User Consent API, which shows you a system prompt and hands our app a single message only after you allow it. You can always dismiss that prompt and type the code yourself.

3. How we use your information

• To create and secure your account, and to sign you in with an OTP.
• To send the task alerts you asked for, including sound and voice announcements.
• To operate subscriptions — activating a plan, showing your expiry date, and answering payment questions.
• To prevent abuse, sharing of accounts, and fraudulent payments.
• To fix faults and improve reliability.
• To reply to your support messages.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Who we share it with

• Payment gateway (Cashfree Payments) — to process a payment and to confirm its status. They receive only what is needed to complete the transaction.
• SMS provider (MSG91) — receives your phone number to deliver the OTP.
• Push delivery (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) — receives your device push token to deliver alerts.
• Legal — where we are required to disclose information by law, or to protect our rights.

We have no other third parties, no data brokers, and no analytics SDK that profiles you across apps.

5. How long we keep it

Account and subscription records are kept while your account exists and for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep payment records. Alert history and diagnostic logs are kept for a rolling short period and then deleted. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile, preferences and device tokens, and retain only the minimum payment record the law requires.

6. Security

Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Sessions use signed tokens, and the token is stored in your device's secure storage. Access to our systems is limited to the people who operate the Service. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your phone and your OTP to yourself.

7. Your choices

• Turn notifications off at any time from your device settings, or change what you are alerted about inside the app.
• Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete your account, by writing to info@myudyog.co.in from your registered number.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and where the change is significant we will tell you inside the app.
